ST at the O'Connor Uniting Church Hall and the Les Explorateurs Scout Hall Ainslie

Merryn and Sonja are very pleased to offer ST courses at the OUC Hall for the Spring Term 2017.  Merryn's ST course at the Les Explorateurs Hall in Ainslie, will continue, as well!  All of Merryn’s classes are now offered to new students who may not have done an ST course before.  The first 2 weeks of the term will focus on ST basics including: principles of stretching, optimal body alignment, and the contract:relax technique.  Long term students will also benefit from this focused review each term.  Sonja will continue to offer a specific Introductory course on a Tuesday evening.

The Winter Term at both halls was fantastic, and we are so happy to see our students continue to benefit from their stretch therapy practice.  Don't forget to keep an eye on the Stretch Therapy website for regular updates on the excellent courses, workshops and classes that Kit and Olivia conduct, information on ST courses and workshops in Canberra, and contacts for Stretch Therapy practitioners around Australia.

Mobility and Stretching at the Ainslie Studio

Regular stretching, balancing, posture and mobility work are great ways to optimise your training regime and improve your body awareness. Merryn conducts private and small group mobility training in the Ainslie Studio at a variety of times and days.

What happens in a Mobility class?

The one hour mobility class starts with a combination of dynamic warmup movements.  We then progress to a series of solo and partner stretching activities where a number of stretching methods and principles are employed to produce optimal effects.  Stretches are often performed with a partner checking and cueing.

Please email Merryn at info@strengthandmobility.com.au to discuss your requirements or join a small group mobility class.

Corporate and Team Mobility and Stretching

Merryn is available for group mobility classes at your workplace or training venue.  Merryn has experience in conducting mobility training for a variety of team and individual sports, including with the Canberra Raiders NRL and under 20's squads, Canberra Capitals WNBL squad, and Australian Institute of Sport Swimmers.  Merryn can design programs and sessions to cater for your specific needs: from sessions aimed at mobility for the seated worker, to targeted physical preparation for elite and recreational athletes.

Please email Merryn at info@strengthandmobility.com.au to discuss your team's requirements or establish a group mobility class in your workplace.
